MiSDU - Passing the Buck - AGAIN!

I shouldn't be shocked, but I am. I'm literally on the floor, stunned with amazement at the ineffectiveness and downright stupidity of our state's efforts to "help" children by driving their parents absolutely crazy with non-sense.

I got another letter from MiSDU this afternoon. Inside was a letter from some dude named "Ralph" (good robot name, I suppose. Ralph doesn't have a last name, and neither do robots.) The letterhead has a "Tier" logo on it. Who ever the fuck they are. Who the hell is Tier? How many fucking bureaucratic department are in involved with the extortion of parents, anyway?? We have FOTC, then we have MiSDU, and now this "Tier" outfit. WTF??

Anyway... The letter states as follows:

"August 04, 2006

Ms. Isanhart,

Received your fax today, and after review it appears that this was a banking error. The MICR codes on the bottom of the check were not read properly and the bank couldn't find your account.

I've enclosed your original check so that you can see where the problem was. I'm also sending you another copy of the letter and envelope that we sent you.

Please send in another check for $65.00 to cover the check that didn't go through. I've waived the 20.00 fee. Once I receive your check, I will clear your account.

1) I never faxed these idiots. I wouldn't know how to fax them if my life depended on it.

2) They did NOT return my original check. They returned a yellow copy of it with tons of numbers and crap on it, and a rubber stamp that says "RETURN REASON - E UNABLE TO LOCATE ACCT." I have no idea who rubber stamped the check, but anyone with half a brain would have tried to send it through again, especially since several other checks were cashed from the exact same account.

3) I mailed them a money order for $85.00 on 7/29/06 to cover this check in question, which they should have received by the next business day, as usual, along with a letter from myself, which was conveniently not mentioned, and a copy of the letter from my bank, which I will be forced to visit AGAIN about this tomorrow, because I can't send them another $65.00 because of their incompetence.

4) Too late to "waive the 20.00 fee," retard. It's already been submitted to you, as you originally demanded. Fucktards.

5) My account should have been "cleared" years ago because of all the grief you morons have caused me.

6) This is exactly the kind of crap that caused the fall of the Soviet Union. Perhaps I should be grateful it's as painfully obvious as it is that these over paid, heavily benefited a-moral robots have no clue what so ever of what they're doing. They must not talk to each other, ever! Seriously, what would it have taken for whomever opened my letter containing a money order for 85.00 to cover check #539 to call good ol' Ralph and let the asshole know what was going on? Don't they have any kind of data entry system over there?? This is what happens when government gets too big. They stop communicating, let alone caring about what the fuck they're doing.

So, MiSDU has cost me about 100.00 (time, travel, gas, aggravation, etc.) trying to get them to fix their fuckup, which they are now, predictably, blaming my bank for. What do I expect? HONESTY??? Pahleeeeze! We're talking about the GOVERNMENT here, not some private, accountable business subject to any laws or anything! There's no accountability within the government.

MiSDU - PID

The check I mailed out the same day I received the impersonal letter from MiSDU - PID (SDUPID) was cashed yesterday, without a single word from MiSDU - PID that they've made an error and my checks were okay to send now. Morons.

I'm not buying any more expensive money orders. If they cashed that one, which was mailed a week after the one they never presented to my bank for payment, but lied about it being "returned," to collect a 20.00 fee to help pay their bloated operating costs, and over paid amoral robot workers, they can take them every week. Fucking idiots.

I wonder how many other parents have gotten ripped off of 20.00 because of MiSDU - PID's unethical, dishonest, tyrannical, looting, mooching practice of claiming a check was returned that was never even presented for payment in the first place??

There was never any reason or cause for my bank to return check #539 to you. My bank advised me of your apparent error this morning, where I spent an hour and almost $5.00 on an money order, trying to have it fixed.

My bank is unable to correct your error, but wrote a letter in an attempt to illuminate this mistake made by you.

Enclosed with this correspondence is the letter from my bank documenting the fact that my check #539, dated 7/20/06 was never presented by you for payment from them.

A copy of this letter is also being sent to you from my bank.

MiSDU should not force me to purchase money orders or cashier's checks, which will cause further hardship, as this error was entirely yours, not mine.

To reiterate: Check #539 was never "returned" to you, it was never even presented for payment.Check #540, which was mailed yesterday is also a good check.

I am enclosing a money order in the amount of $85.00 to cover Check #539 written in the amount of $65.00, plus $20.00 which you are forcing me to incur as a "processing fee" for your own error, which is completely wrong, but I am left with no recourse.

They are both solid and backed by US Dollars earned by my sweat and pain, and should be cashed accordingly so these funds can be forwarded to my ex-husband before his next sports car, boat, vaction home, toy du jouir payment is due.

I Am PIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSED!!

Got an impersonal form letter in the mail today from MiSDU (Michigan Support Distrubution Unit) in Lansing telling me that the last check I sent was "returned" to them. WHAT!??!! Worse, they want 20.00 on top of the 65.00 I sent, for a total of 85.00. EVEN WORSE, they want me to send them expensive MONEY ORDERS because they won't take my checks anymore!!

WHAT THE FUCK??!!?

I desperately scanned my bank account on line, but my balance never dipped below 150.00 all month long! Fuck!

I called Key Bank (beware of these people, I swear!) and talked to a lady with a heavy accent, who said "I don't understand, you had funds available."

Yeah, no fucking shit, lady!! What the hell happened??

She put me on hold for several minutes, then came back and asked that I bring the letter in to them. Well DUH! I told her they had to fix this, because now they want me to send money orders. Fuckers.

Naturally, there is NO phone number on the stupid bueracratic letter head from MiSDU, only a P.O. Box. Naturally, this will take MONTHS to fix, because that's how fucking brainless machines like MiSDU work. They take their time when your on the paying end of the stick.

I just sent these fuckers another check this morning, so, what does that mean? They'll refuse to accept that one now? And I have to pay for a special trip to get a money order and the fucking money order?? BULLSHIT!!

I was barely keeping myself fed at that time. Working two jobs, and bringing in maybe 180.00 a week. I do remember telling him that I wanted to have the kids so bad, but I had no way to care for them while they were with me unless he resumed paying support. Terry refused.
